Fridaaaay

God gosh this week is just flown by.  I can't believe it is Friday already.

Monday I'm going to update you on the Mario room (I've got some way cool projects done) and show you my entry in Fireflies & Jellybeans Iron Crafter.  {I've never entered a contest before so exciting}And Tuesday I will show the how to on both the Iron Crafter and the coupon book.

But today I usually highlight from around blog world.  But have you seen my new site - Today's Top 20?  That's what I do everyday!  So I need to think of something new for here.  But today I just want to show you some of my Christmas inspiration.  {I've officially been bit by the Christmas bug}

Everyone loves Anthropologie.  But I also love their windows.

Are you over the snowflakes yet?  Nope me either.  {P.S. Do you see the marshmallow garland in the background of this last one. LOOOOVE it.}  Anthro your so cool.  Plus this is kind of Elf too right?

Alright moving on....
So is anyone else a freak and like a themed Christmas?  I do.  And every year something messes it up changes last minute and I never get to do it.  But not this year baby.

My tree is being inspired by BHG.  I cut this picture {and the whole story out} a few years ago and with moving I can't find it.  I had a whole binder of Holiday ideas.  And it's gone :(

Except sorry sophie your left out of my tree.

And look at those snowflakes --- cookie snowflakes!
I need to up my cookie decorating skills ASAP.  Bakerella?  Bake at 350?  Someone!  Help! :) {Seriously if you all want to that's totally cool with me!}

So there is some of my inspiration...{What I can show you!  hehe! Somethings I'm straight craftlifting.  Because I've gotta have it!}

My Christmas theme - straight from The Night Before Christmas -  is Vision of Sugar Plums {well just sugar really} All the candy is so colorful so I'm making the other decorations white.

The only place I can't do candy is outside.  But I've got something else planned.

Original idea was to do the 12 days of Christmas.  But I've decided that's too grown up.  We want a fun Christmas!

What are you doing? Any plans?  Come back tomorrow for a sweet Saturday -- oh gosh! I need to figure out what to make! :) Just kidding.  It's yummy!

Found it Friday

Sooo sorry that it is 7 pm and I'm just now posting.  Today has been one of those days --- running around like crazy.  We bought Joshua a Wii for Christmas.  {And it is red so it will go in his Mario room perfectly!!! I've already cut the M with a circle around it out of white vinyl to put on it!} Hooray for that.  Originally we went to Kmart for it {you got 50,000 bonus points for it which is basically an extra $50!} and they were out.  So I wanted the Spongebob Snuggie that they had for $12.99 {Yes, it is ugly} well they "never got those in but we do have one that looks exactly like it for $18.99".  UMMM....
I'll go to Bed Bath and Beyond and get it.  One it's cheaper.  Two just out of principle.

Got a great shelf at Goodwill. Went to the Dollar Store to get wreath making supplies.  Joann's to get fabric.  And grocery shopping.  Whew.

And now that I'm home I've got dinner in the oven, cleaning jars in the kitchen {well letting hot water run in them}, blogging, and I brought a basket of laundry in here to fold {because I've got time to type and fold at the same time?} all while listening to Joyce Meyer's Are You Too Busy?  Yes, Joyce.  I am.  And thank you for making this book on CD for people like me who are too busy to read it.

If your still there....:) Here are my Friday finds.

How to make an insulated vest tutorial.  She made it out of t-shirts!  Uhhh how cool!?  Go check out Sneezerville for the details!
Here is another tutorial from Sneezerville.  A pullover.  And made out of t-shirts!  I really want to go thrifting for cool vintage t-s.  NOW.  :) Let me just add that to my to do list.

I am apparently on a clothing kick right now.  HOW STINKING CUTE IS THIS.  Seriously.  I want one.  Make one for me. Andy. Joshua.  And the dog. :) It's over at positively splendid.

Um.  Excuse me?  Where do I get one of these?  I love them.  Shanty2chic.  Check it out people!!

  These are Lunch Box notes {and a free printable!} that are just super cute.  I want to incorporate in my table settings maybe?  If I have time.  Oh well.  Notes in lunchboxes are cool too! Go check out the rest of Crafts and such!

Have a FANTASTIC weekend!!! {Gotta run...dinner is going to burn!!!}

Found it Friday

So here are some fabulous projects from around blogworld that have caught my eye this week.
{P.S.  I have written out my ''must to do list before Dec 18th", planning out what projects to do each day.  And I'm already behind -- it's day 3.  And this list is not helping me get the must do's out of the way.  I want to do these instead!!!}

I like Pottery Barn.  I love love love me some PB knock offs!!  This is from Paisley Pink Polka Dots.  Isn't it great?  I think it would look fabulous in my living room.  With my other projects I've got planned which at this rate will not be started until 2011.  :)

Here's another PB knock off.  Am I still allowed to make an advent calendar after the first week of Nov.? :)  She did such an awesome job on this.  It may have to go into my next year folder. This is from Ducks in a Row.  She's just so darn clever!

This is something that I have had saved since last year people.  I need to do it.  It is from Anna Maria Horner.  I want to make it for my mom.  She takes water aerobics and I thought she needed a cute little towel bag to go with her!  And this one really is on my to do list!!

So we all know that Joshua's room will be Mario.  I saw this plush Boo tutorial on Seremeres Blog.  I wanted to do something else with the Boo guys but now I don't know!

I'm def. mad for plaid right now.  Check out this tutorial on how to make a *BOYS* scarf (ok, it could totally work for girls as well) from Living with Punks.  Best part...

there is a pocket!!

What are you going to be crafting up this weekend???

Found It Friday

First, a rant.  I went to my old favorite, Goodwill.  Remember how I was worried that I was just down right cheap?  Well, I'm convinced that it is not me -- it's them.

Case in point.  Beach towel -- $7?
Small Table Runner -- $13?
"Coach inspired" small clutch (worn, very.  With stain on the side and rip on inside of the dirty lining) -- $70

I can buy a brand new Coach bag for around $100. {We live next to the Coach outlet} :)
And at the very least a new knock off for that much.

I left with a picture frame ($4) and 2 small pillows ($3 each) (overpaid -- they are U-G-L-Y)

I'll be going to San Suchi tomorrow.

But back to Found it Friday....
I have had this picture saved for a while now.  It's a Land Of Nod inspired floor cushion from Living with Punks.  I'm debating---make 2 one red and one green (with the Mario M and Luigi L of course) or make just one with red on one side and green on the other.  OR how cool would it be if I can find some old tshirts to cut up and have a picture of Yoshi on the front of one! Yea.  I don't know.  I think I just need to make it and be done.

Cute huh?  I saw these a while ago on  Craftster.org.  But this one is done
by Elizabeth over at Ucreate w/ Kids.  She offers a tutorial too!

Isn't that pretty!  It's over at Tatertots and Jello!

Oh and here is Joshua in his Wizard of Oz shirt.  I know it's not a costume, but oh well.  Not the best thing I've ever made. But it works.  And slightly funny.

Kind of a goofy picture of him :)  But oh well.  The back of the shirt says OZ underneath the collar.

And tonight (I should be getting ready to leave not blogging) well this afternoon he will be wearing his cheap $12 store bought at Wal-Mart (YUCK) ugly Darth V. costume.  Reason: Joshua doesn't like candy.  He doesn't like trick or treating.  And he will not use the costume during the year to randomly dress up.  ?  I love them all.  But he doesn't.  And it has taken me 7 years to figure out that spending a lot of money/time is useless.  So for an hour he will wear his cheap-O. :)
